People in Need Helping People in Need - Wow! And the New Ways to Help This Week. . .

Hi Everyone!

PHEW! We made it. We helped John clean his apartment and get him food and some other things to make his apartment livable. He is in a very different place than he was when I met him! He is smiling, and crying, and has new hope. Let's send him good energy today that his inspection goes well! Thank you Holly, Jennifer (and their families) and Tyler for your help! Thank you ACE for donating a new toilet seat! What a difference.
Also, thank you to Clark Fork City Church Street Teams for doing multiple dump runs and committing to continuing to help Jackie get her home in order so that her children have a good place to be! You were amazing!

Here are some folks I met this week that I would like to introduce you to:

Jack is a man living with disabilities who needs to move by this Friday - he has a very small apartment, a couple of big things and a very tidy storage unit. We need 4 or more volunteers to move him in one truck trip.

Lanicka is a single mother who needs windows installed in her trailer and a shed assembled so that her children have a warm and tidy place to be - and the forecast is for snow later this week! Let's help her keep her family together.

Diane needs a grab bar and new shower head installed so that she can bathe more easily since she is disabled. Contractor experience preferred, but if you aren't one - do you know one?

I also need a couple of strong folks to take a u-haul around and collect all the fantastic furniture donations we have for Shannon, a great single Mom who is working hard to make a great home for her three beautiful boys. Can you help drive and get the stuff to her on Thursday afternoon/evening?

You know, one of the most beautiful things I have seen is volunteers working to help someone with nothing - even though they have almost nothing themselves. One of them said "We don't have time and we don't have money. So we're gonna go out there and give!" Now these folks are in our circle of helping - they are getting new beds donated to them that they desperately need, and help making their gardens safe and beautiful for their children. That is the heart and soul of Imagine Missoula - community that gives and shares, even the little we have.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Addendum and this just in!

Hey folks!
I wanted to make sure to thank Justin for painting at Sharon's last week! She is thrilled and he is a fantastic new volunteer.
Also, I just got a call from Debby Florence - we cleaned the Macy's windows for the Art Walk in the Spring for her. She needs a couple people to clean the windows again, and to scrape off the letters. She is down to the wire on this. Imagine Missoula also deeply cares about Beauty and the Arts, so let's get out there and tend to these areas of our lovely town, too!
Let me know if you want to help,

This Week at Imagine Missoula

Hi Everyone!
I want to start by thanking the fantastic volunteers who helped folks last week! It was extraordinarily busy and you rocked it.
Thank you Naomi, Steve B., Sarah K., Christian, Travis, Ben K., Andrew L., Alex, James M., John M., Ryan, Greg S. and crew, for your amazing work moving folks last week!
Thank you Todd A. and friend for helping Hilda, thank you Elise for helping Fay with her tree trimming and thank you Jim A. for helping with Barb's window!

Here is who we can help this week:

Diane needs a bar and special shower head installed to make bathing safer for her, and someone to change out her light bulbs and and wipe down the fixtures.

Joe needs someone to help change out his dryer adapter or somehow make it so that he can plug in his dryer (he has a four prong and the socket is for three - electrician friends?) Also he needs help sliding the washer and dryer into place.

Lillian and Brenda no longer have folks who can mow for them for the rest of the warm weather. They need someone who can bring a mower to their homes to do the jobs.

Finally, guess what?? Now you can get your All Souls Ale t-shirt and pre-order your very own bottle (or case!) or the new All Souls Ale right at Big Sky Brewery! Go and hoist a pint in support of our biggest supporter! Prost!

Have a great week! I look forward to hearing from you. . .
