How to Help This Week!

Hi Friends!
This week is a little more "business as usual" after our flooding adventures! Still, let's keep on "stand by" in case the waters rise again (when the snow melts, we could be in for it!)
There are some projects on hold because the weather is a little temperamental - like staining the fence for Sharon. But never fear! The Superheroes of Kindness are giving her flowers for being so patient. :)
On the list today:

Barb, who you may remember is the woman who has been a caretaker for her aging parents for seventeen years, has some needs around her home. She needs us to trim (and tame!) the hedge and wack the weeds. Please bring your own hedge trimmer (and an extension cord) and your own weed-wacker. And she needs new plywood on the wheelchair ramp that her mother uses.

Debra, who lives with brain injuries, needs someone to do some minor repairs around her house - like putting in a shelf for her microwave to sit on. Handy-person skills a must.

Also, some exciting news!! City Brew Coffee, United Way of Missoula County and Imagine Missoula are teaming up to present Receding Waters Blend Coffee! The proceeds from the sale of the coffee will go to a fund to assist Missoula flood victims and to provide supplies for volunteers (like food, water and other sandbagging supplies.) We will be selling the bags at a table at the Saturday Market on July 9th, and we need volunteers to staff it! We need four volunteers from set up to take down (set up at 8:00 am and take down at noon.)
Go to Receding Waters Blend on facebook to pre-order your bags, and spread the word! Also, listen to Cherry Creek Radio stations and check out the Missoulian the week before the 9th for more details!

So much, and on so many levels, Imagine Missoula is growing. In all the fun and excitement, all the folks we are helping, the truth remains - without our volunteers and all the heart you put into your work, we couldn't do what we do. Thank you.

Call Nina at 406-546-4697 to help with any of the needs above!

Enjoy the sunshine today,
